Skill Exchange is teaming up with Makeshift Society in Hayes Valley, for an exciting lineup of workshops, tastings, cocktails and conversation this spring.
We’re kicking off this season of making with a party on Friday, May 17th from 7-9PM. The evening will be full of social skill-swapping activities, with brief, but essential lessons lead by San Francisco’s finest makers.
With a cocktail in hand, join us for a series of lessons, all 10 minutes or less. These not-to-be-missed mini workshops will feature demonstrations from This Humble Abode, Project Juice, Embrace Health & Nutrition, Mission Community Market and others.
The ticket fee for this event includes cocktails, some tastings, as well as a goodie bag with a few treats from each of our workshop teachers! Get your ticket May 1st!

Fermenters Club will teach you how to make a unique, fermented treat-- pickled green strawberries! The same technique can be applied to any seasonal vegetable, enabling you to make and enjoy fermented, probiotic foods all year round!
Mission Community Market will share 10 practical tips to help you get the most out of seasonal farmer’s market produce
Project Juice will demonstrate how to make almond mylk in the comfort of your own home. Containing local, organic ingredients, the end product is simple, delicious, and can be used in countless ways.
This Humble Abode will charm and entertain you with with a simple demonstration on tying neckties and bow ties. We will briefly discuss what goes into making a tie as well as demonstrate the difference between necktie knots and when to choose each one. Perhaps most importantly, Jenny will teach everyone how to take a self tying bow tie and make a perfect bow!
